August 27, 2007 - The Season Championship race that was sheduled for August 25th has been rescheduled for Sept 1, 2007.

June 2, 2007 - Due to mother nature the races have been cancelled.

June 2, 2007 - 1:10 pm - As of right now the races are still on. The track is extremely wet and they will need allot of help to pack the track for tonight's races. Assuming we don't get any large amount of rain before tonight we will be racing at the Super Half Mile. Races are CANCELLED at Memphis so it should be a good field of cars tonight.

May 26, 2007 - 1:50 pm - Due to mother nature the races have been cancelled.

May 26, 2007 - As of 12:00 pm the races are still on. Denny is on his way to the track to check things out and will probably wait a while to make a determination on tonight's races. Check back here for any updates.

MCDANIEL AND WELLER TAKE SECOND STRAIGHT WINS AT ELDON RACEWAY

(Eldon,Iowa) The home of the super half-mile held it's second straight night of racing after mother-nature spoiled last week's action and two new faces with two repeat winners in victory lane at Eldon. In the stock car feature the father and son battle for the lead was Tyler McClure of Floris and Phil McClure of Floris was a thriller with Tyler trying to hold of his father but Phil would take the lead on lap seven of the fourteen lap main event. Last week's winner Shane Weller of Agency raced his way from fifth to battle for the lead and took the race lead from Phil McClure on lap twelve and lead the final two laps for his second straight win. Phil Mcclure took second with son Tyler in third and Pat Rachels of Knoxville in fourth and Nathan Wood of Keswick in fifth. The second feature of the night was the four bangers main with the Mark Williams of Fairfield taikng the lead and paced the field the first two laps before retiring into the pit are with problems and Andrew Hustead of Rutledge,Mo.taking his first ever apperance at the Eldon Raceway and making it a good one with the win. Larry Hopkins of Ottumwa took the second spot after passing Dennis Allen of Agency for the runner-up spot. Allen took third with female racer Liz Harwood of Oskaloosa taking fourth. The racing action was stopped twice for Cory Sheetz of Keota and Derek Randall of Washington getting upside down both drivers walked away unhurt. In the hobby stock feature Jimmy Hayes of Moravia and Danny Thrasher of Agency battled for the lead with Hayes leading the first nine laps of the twelve lap event before Jason McDaniel of Eldon made the pass after starting 12th. McDaniel lead the final three laps for his second straight victory with Hayes in second followed by Thrasher in third and fourth going to Dustin Griffiths of Ottumwa. In the final feature of the night Casey Lancaster of Glenwood,Mo. would hold off Paul Underwood of Ottumwa in the P.B.Choppers modified main event. With several drivers having trouble in turns three and four making contact with the concrete wall ending there run to victory lane. Next week will feature night number three at the Eldon Raceway with all four classes in action with hot laps at 7:00pm and racing action to follow.

May 5, 2007 - As of 2:00 p.m. the races are still on at Eldon and Memphis is canceled. Looks like it will be a great night of racing with lots of cars. Come on down to the Super Half Mile and enjoy the excitement of full throttle racing action.
